MemberShip - El Paso Mac User Group



The El Paso MacIntosh User Group has been an officially recognized Apple user group since its founding in 1984. Its purpose is to provide education and assistance in the use of Apple MacIntosh computers and related products. We provide a lively forum for all Mac users, from beginners to experts, to share information and ideas. Whether you're a newbie or a longtime user, a membership in EPMUG is the best MacIntosh upgrade you can buy.


Meetings

We meet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month in the basement of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1000 Montana Avenue (see map). Members come with their Macs, iPhones, iPods, and iPads to give and receive help on various topics, including hardware installation, software use, network configuration, and general maintenance and troubleshooting. Our membership includes experienced Mac users who can assist you with personal computing questions and problems.
We have demonstrations of hardware and software as well as special interest groups for learning more about particular applications.
Memebers may check out books from our library for a month at a time and may also bring their computer items to sell or trade.


Newsletter

Our monthly Border Connection newsletter keeps members informed about upcoming events, new products, technical solutions, and computer industry gossip. All members may download the electronic version of the newsletter. For an additional annual fee, members may also have a printed copy mailed to them every month.


Yahoo Group

All members are eligible to join our online Yahoo discussion group, an excellent way to give and receive help and advice, advertise to buy or sell computer items, and share news about EPMUG, MacIntosh, and the world of computing.

Members are also eligible for discounts on hardware, software, books, training, and services from Apple, Adobe, Peachpit Press, CMP Press, and the MUG Store, TheMacGuy, and MacIntosh Product Care.
